Thank you for your enquiry into recreational flying. We hope that you
will share our passion for flying and the aircraft we fly, the internationally
acclaimed; all Australian designed and built Jabiru.

Our school operates only fully certified, factory built training aircraft
and we are pleased to offer the full syllabus for pilot tuition under
the administration of Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus). Initially,
you may care to book a Trial Instructional Flight for a cost of as little
as $70 and you may undertake up to 3 hours of instruction before joining
the RAAus if you decide to apply for your Student Pilot Certificate and
continue training.
When you have successfully completed the syllabus, the
requirements for a full Pilot Certificate are easily achieved. You need
only:
• To be medically fit enough to legally drive a car.
• To have completed a minimum of 20 hours in-flight training and
achieved a satisfactory standard of proficiency proven during theory and
practical examination.
The theory component of the course and the exams are quite simple and
do not require long and intensive study. The study materials required
are inexpensive and readily available, the school will recommend the required
texts. As part of our comprehensive training program, aspects such as
legal requirements and limitations will be covered and significant features
within our flight training area will be identified. Alternate landing
areas, restrictions applying to flight over residential zones, noise sensitive
areas and any potential hazards such as power lines are some examples.

Our training rate is $145 per hour and private hire is $115 per hour (including
fuel) after you have qualified for your Pilot Certificate.
